Glenn T. Stanton is the research fellow for global family formation at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs. He is also directing a major research project on international family formation trends at the Institute of Marriage and Family in Ottawa. He debates and lectures extensively on the issues of gender, sexuality, marriage and parenting at universities and churches around the country. He recently served the Bush administration as a consultant on increasing fatherhood involvement in the Head Start program. He is the author of three books and a contributor to five others, including "Why Marriage Matters: Reasons to Believe in Marriage in Postmodern Society" and "My Crazy, Imperfect Christian Family," which explores the value of imperfect families. His newest book is "Marriage on Trial: The Case Against Same-Sex Marriage and Parenting," which addresses why same-sex marriage and parenting are not good ideas. C-SPAN BookTV nationally featured a presentation by Glenn on this book. He contributed to "Same-Sex Marriage: The Moral and Legal Debate," and "Toward an Evangelical Public Policy: Political Strategies for the Health of the Nation." Glenn has published articles in Christianity Today, The American Enterprise, The World & I, Boundless, Family Policy, Current Thoughts and Trends, National Forum and Dr. Laura's Perspective. He has also been widely quoted in major newspapers and magazines as a leading spokesperson on marriage and family issues such as, New York Times, Washington Post, USATODAY, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Salon.com, The Advocate, Washington Blade, and Los Angeles Times. He was recently selected by Christianity Today to be one of the few leading voices in evangelicalism to serve as a contributing writer to their Christian Vision Project. He is a winner of the 2001 Amy Foundation Writing Award and is featured in the popular PBS documentary, "Affluenza". A graduate of the University of West Florida, Glenn earned a master's degree in interdisciplinary humanities with an emphasis in philosophy, history and religion. He has also taught in each of these disciplines. He and his wife have five young children and they live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
